Your information
Effective October 17, 2026
What we collect
- The email address you sign in with.
- What you do on the site: the pages you open, including the track, date and race in the address; the buttons, links and form fields you use and where on the page, but never what you type; how long you stay and how far you scroll; and five actions we name ourselves: opening a track, opening a race, tapping through to TwinSpires, switching between light and dark, and signing out.
- Your device and connection: browser and operating system, device type and screen size, language and time zone, how quickly pages load, the page or link that brought you here with any campaign tags in it, your IP address, and the approximate location worked out from it, such as city, region and postal code.
- Depending on our analytics settings: where the pointer moves, taps that do nothing, and errors a page runs into.
We do not record the words or labels on what you tap, and we do not record your screen.
Where it is kept
On your device: a sign-in cookie holding your email, for seven days or until you sign out; a cookie that remembers light or dark, for a year; a cookie naming the tracks you have unlocked for the day, until that day's card is over; if you came through a creator's link, that creator's code, for 90 days; and an identifier our analytics provider keeps in a cookie and in your browser's storage for up to a year, which is your email once you have signed in.
With our analytics provider, PostHog: everything listed above, linked to your email once you sign in, on PostHog's servers in the United States.
With our payments provider, Stripe, when you buy a track day: your email, the tracks and date you bought, what you paid, any promo code or creator's code, and that you confirmed you are 18 or older. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us.
With our sign-in provider, WorkOS, when you sign in with a code: your email, to send the code to.
With our hosting provider, Vercel: a log of each request to the site, kept for a limited time. The site's own server keeps no lasting record of you; to slow password guessing it counts failed sign-ins by address for ten minutes.
What we use it for
To run the site, keep you signed in and honor the track days you buy, and to learn how members use it so we can make it better and decide what to build next. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. The predictions come from our own data service, and your email is never sent to it.
TwinSpires
A TwinSpires button opens TwinSpires in a new tab with a ticket for you to review. We record that you tapped it and for which race. We do not see what you do on TwinSpires, and its own privacy policy applies there. Kingmakers places no bets.
Your choices
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, and the site sends no analytics at all.
- Sign out to remove the sign-in cookie and have this browser start afresh, no longer linked to you.
- To see or delete what we hold about you, reply to a receipt from us, or ask the person who gave you your passcode.
